Exhibition of my 13 Heroines, oil paint

Exhibition “My 13 heroines” will be seen in Arnhem, until April 23 2026, In May you can see my exhibition in the Community Center Plein 5 in Brummen, Planned later at the HAN Nijmegen.

In 1995 Marty de Bruijn and Anne-Mieke Zaat started AnneMieke.Marty AV Productions.

In July 2024 Anne-Mieke started drawing and painting.

Her first sources of inspiration were mainly men —they receive most of the attention. But where are the women?

She started searching for female role models who truly moves her. These thirteen women inspired her to visualize what strength, creativity, perseverance, and joy mean in life.

They are women who want to matter to others — in art, politics, or beyond. They make the world betterand more beautiful.

With this exhibition, Anne-Mieke wants to give them a stage and transform her admiration and gratitude into images.
